An AI calorie tracker for the food you actually eat.

Most calorie trackers are built on a Western food database, so anything cooked at home or eaten regionally becomes a guessing game. BetterCal has no database to search — you say the meal out loud or type it like a note, and the AI estimates against local ingredients, cooking fats, serving vessels and portion sizes.

How it works

Why the country setting matters.

The same dish name means different things in different places. A curry cooked with a teaspoon of oil and one cooked with three tablespoons of ghee are different foods with the same label, and a single global average serves neither well.

When you log a meal, BetterCal considers your country's actual eating habits before it estimates — which ingredients are typical, what it is usually cooked in, what vessel it is served in, and how big a normal portion is.

Your country is set during onboarding and can be changed at any time in the app.
